Permission to film

We will need permission for the following locations:

• Drama Hall
• Main School Hall

Drama Hall

We will need permission to film in the Drama Hall as it is school property and we will need permission even though we are students. We have got permission from the head of Drama which is Mr.Taylor, the drama hall is used mainly for drama so it would be ideal to get the head of Drama to give us permission to film. We will create a permission letter and get the permission letter signed by the head of drama to confirm that we can film in the drama hall.

Main Hall

For the Main Hall we will also need Permission as this is part of the school and and similar to the drama hall. We may not be filming in the main hall as we may not be filming the particular scene.

For the following locations below we will not need permission as these locations are outside of London and only in certain parks you need permission to film, and we are using a park which does not need permission to film. Also we will be filming in a quiet area within the park so we are not disrupting the public. This also follows for the other locations, that we will not disrupt the public during our filming time.

Park

We will not need permission to film in a public park as this is a public place and we are able to film there. Also this park we are going to film in does not require permission. As I mentioned before we will not disrupt the public and we will be filming in a quiet location of the park, possibly away from the playground area and more into the fields.

House

We will not need permission to use a house as we are going to use a friends who has kindly let us use it for filming. We would need permission if we were going to film in someones house we dont know and this would be awakward for us to film in someones house we do not know, so it is ideal that we film in someones house we know. The only permission we needed was from the owner of the household and we have permission from them so we are clear to film in the house.

Flat
For the flat we will also not need permission to film apart from asking the owner of the flat. This is similar to the house and we wont need them to sign a permission slip as we asking as a favor. The flat is located in Chadwell heath and this is far apart from the house so we will be filming the house and flat on different days.

Music Instruments
We will need permission for the music instruments as this is our biggest prop. Instead of us bringing our own guitars we can use the schools from the music department. We will need the head of music to sign ou permission slip so we can use the instruments. We have got permission from the head of music as they have said we are allowed to use as much as we want, but after school for a selected number of hours. We are going to use the instruments on the same day and time as the drama hall. Here is the permission slip we got signed by the head of music saying we can use their instruments, for how long and what day.

Weekly Blog-Week 4

This week me and my partner were still completing the planning such as permission. We managed to get most of our tasks complete. This week on the weekend we were meant to be filming but due to snow we were unable to and this wiuld ruin the scenes as we need the weather to be consistent. I think this week we have picked up the pace as we were falling behind on some tasks but gradually we picked up the pace and got most of the tasks complete. For the following week we will be filming and hopefully we would have finshed our filming. Overall this week we both got most of the work done and we will be filming our music video shortly.

Location Reccies

Park
The first main location we will be filming at is The park in Barkingside, Clabury. This will be one of our main locations to shoot the film as this will be showing many of the shots here. This will probably not be the easiest location to film at as it still does not require permission but we are filming in a public place and also the public may not like us filming them. This may be an issue but we plan to film it during a quiet time of the day. Also the park we can be ceative and use different props and we can use the whole space to film except the children's area as parents may get the wrong idea.

House
The house is a good location for us to film at as we know the people and they are willing to let us film in their house. The house is located in Thomes Wood Hill. This location will be in most of the shots so this is an important location to film at. Comparing this to the park there are less issues such as people no liking us filming in the park but in the house there is privacy and we have permission to film so this is convinent. 






Also comparing this to the flat, the house is more pactical to move around and we have more room to film. This is a disadvantage for the flat as there is not as much film. Again comparing to the park, it works out better to film in the park on the space level. The park we have as much room to film. In the house we can be quite practical by laying out different props and other stuff to change the set, but we can not re-arange furniture or move the house hold belongings as the owner does not want us to move anything.





Flat
The flat is our last location we are filming at. The flat is representing the male characters home once his girlfriend has broken up with him. The flat is much smaller than the house and has less filming space so it is not as practical. But we can be a bit more creative with the flat by adding our own props without ruining the flat. We also have permission to film in someone's flat. For this location it would have to be filmed on the weekend as it is far from both our homes so we would have to film this location possibly first to get it out the way and we can focus on the other two main locations. This location will be the most difficult as it is the furthest away and also there is not much room to film such as the other locations have more space to move and film.

Weekly Production Log 3

Week 3-
This week me and my partner have been completeing the planning tasks. These tasks were Shooting Script, Location Reccies, Production Schedule, Waiver Cast, Calls Sheets and permission to film. These tasks are all apart of our planning and me and my partner have been working on these over the week. We had some difficulties completeing these tasks and had some problems completeing them such as the Waiver cast, this was a slight problem as cast were not sure if they were going to do the part. But we have had a confirmation from them and now this problem is resolved. Also we had difficultie working out the production schedule as we were both not sure what days to film and what days not to becuase some of us and the cast are busy during these days due to school. We have estimated roughly what days we can film and have done this in our production schedule.
